Patterns and Core Boxes

We produce matchplates, split patterns, and core boxes made of wood, resin, and aluminum for sand casting and shell casting.

What We Do

Pattern making always requires upfront coordination with the foundry. Shrinkage rates, draft angles, machining allowances, and parting lines must all be clearly agreed upon before we begin. We produce matchplates and core boxes that maintain precise alignment and dimensional stability even through repeated sand compaction, using aluminum or steel in high-abrasion zones. Gating and risers can be integrated directly onto the plate from the start, locking in optimal casting yields rather than resorting to guesswork later. We also repair, resurface, or convert existing tooling to more durable materials as production volumes ramp up.
